What happens in the world affects me deeply.
Human rights, rights in general, are being violated at an alarming rate. Political leaders normalize violence and division. They accept that diversity must not exist.
And as always, it is framed in terms of good and evil.
Because everyone wants to be the hero. Every person, at their core, wants to do good. But that "good" is shaped by the information they receive.
We all know films that draw us into a story, justifying the actions that follow. Violence may be fought with violence. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. If someone does harm, they must be punished.
And in American films, preferably with a flag in the background. Subtle or strikingly large.
We love flags. And heroes.
But is the story true?
The Power of Stories
Every great leader tries to rally their people behind a cause that is seen as "just." But how does such a struggle begin? Not with bombs. Not with weapons. But with a story.
The Gulf War? First, there was a story. About weapons of mass destruction that were never found. About a threat that turned out not to exist. But it was enough to start a war.
Healthcare? There are stories there too. And they break my heart. People who get stuck. Who cry out for help and are not heard. Who struggle with their bodies, their minds, their fears, and see no way out. And yet, there are also stories of hope. Of transformation. Of people who, when given the right support, rediscover themselves.
Did we not all applaud healthcare workers during COVID? Did we not all feel the urgency to support them? Because the story was true. Because it touched our collective consciousness.
The power of that collective feeling exists. The question is: how do we tap into it? How do we strike the right chord in every person, regardless of political background? How do we play the right note?
That… that is the goal of Where ART meets Science.
Where ART and Science strengthen each other
Science exposes how the world works. Art touches us on a deeper level. And together… they can tell a story greater than ideology.
This project starts with six artworks. But the goal is much bigger.
Each artwork tells a story. Not of struggle. Not of an enemy. But of humanity. Of listening. Of breaking the frame we keep getting stuck in. The frame that says the solution lies in conflict.
But does there have to be a solution? Does a story always have to be framed in a way that justifies violence as the answer?
What if we tell a story that is bigger than that?
The Higher Purpose
How do you stop a political arena fueled by division and violence? Not by engaging in battle. Not by shouting what is wrong. But by telling a story so powerful that people cannot ignore it.
A story that every person feels.
A story so real, so pure, so beyond words heartbreaking, that everyone instinctively knows: something must be done. But not out of revenge. Not out of anger. From the deepest human drive to do good.
That… that is the essence of Where ART meets Science.
Because if there is one thing we know for sure, it is this: every person ultimately wants to do good.
The only question is: which story will move them?
